White with strong horns. Extremely muscular shoulders and great conformation. Broad and well muscled back and long and exceptionally good loins. Superior gigots. Feets well placed and straight. Dashing sheep with great overall harmony.
Wool

White with no tan or black fibers. Quantity just below average. Very soft fleece with even thel and fine and soft but rather short thog.

Abel was The Champion sire in South Iceland in 2001. His progenies were also noticed for good conformation and carcass grading with an average of 9,4.In 2002 Abel was progeny tested with superb results scoring 128 for male lambs and 124 for female lambs. Carcass grading score was 139. Average dressing weight was 15,5 kg and carcass grading averaged 9,3. His progenies also proved to be very lean. Abels progenies have great conformation, thick eye muscle and very muscled gigots. A big part of them are pure white - with no tan or black fibers.
